Our center operate throughout the year except the public holidays. The operating hours are 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday.

Are your teachers qualified?

Minimum of 80% of our teachers are qualified and registered early childhood teacher.

What age groups does Neemo cater for?

We cater for children aged from three months old up to six years.

What are the operating hours?

What is included in your fees?

Sunscreen, nutritional morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snack, blankets and sheets for sleep, Learning journals, online learning e-portfolio.

20 Hours ECE?

Our Centre offers the 20 Hours ECE initiative for 3 years till 6 years olds, reducing the weekly fee for this age group.

Funding rates for “20 hours” have been calculated to cover a minimum standard of care and education. If you would like further information on the 20 Hours ECE initiative, we are happy to discuss this with you.

What is the Child Care Assistance (CCA)?

The CCA is a subsidy provided by work and income. Parents or guardians may be able to get assistance if:

  • You’re the main caregiver of the child, and
  • Your family is on a low or middle income, and
  • You’re a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, and
  • Your child has at least three hours of care of a week.

There are different conditions and requirements that apply before assistance can be given.
What childcare assistance is available to you will depend on your individual situation and the type of care your child is enrol for. WINZ also has a handy online application form. This is available on the Working for Families website www.workingforfamilies.govt.nz.

Do you provide Nappies?

Nappies are provided by parents for their children, we do not provide nappies.

What food will my child eat?

Our menus are specially designed for growing children by our experienced chef. We follow the guidelines of the Healthy Heart Foundation for creating fresh healthy meals for the children.

My child has allergies, can you cater for this?

Yes, we cater for children with allergies. Please talk to your centre supervisor about your child’s specific needs.

Do the children play outside all year round?

We believe in the importance of providing children constant flow between outdoor and indoor spaces. We encourage children to wear the right clothing for the weather so that they can explore the outdoors at all times.

Do you have holidays?

While you're able to take holidays when you would like, our fees are calculated over 52 weeks of the year, for ease of payment. The centres are only closed on public holidays.

What happens if my child gets sick?

It is important to keep children at home while they are sick to ensure they recover quickly and don't pass on the illness to other children.. Please plan to care for your child at home when sick. The centre needs to be informed if your child is away sick and also if they have any infectious diseases e.g. chicken pox, conjunctivitis etc. Fees shall apply as normal when your child is absent due to sickness or other reasons.

What do I need to send with my child?

Lots of smiles, a few change of clothes, proper weather gears like hats, jackets, gumboots, etc. If your child has an allergy to regular sunblock please provide your preferred brand of sunblock. If your child requires formula, please also supply this. Please ensure you label all your child’s belongings.

What happens after I submit an inquiry form online?

After you have submitted your inquiry form, we will:

  • Call you back.
  • Discuss your child’s specific needs.
  • Arrange a time suitable to you for a visit
  • If there is a vacancy, we will guide you through the paperwork for enrolment
  • Add you to a waitlist (if there are no places  available at your centre of choice).

Do you have a school readiness programme?

We use a play-based curriculum where we focus on developing, extending and enhancing children’s interests. We focus on setting up children for lifelong learning, for example, developing skills like problem solving, perseverance, resilience, curiosity, social and emotional intelligence. We incorporate early literacy, numeracy and the passion of each child so they can have fun and engage in learning. Our rooms offer all the literacy and numeracy literacy and numeracy tools for children to be successful in their learning as they head into school.

Do you offer sessions or half days?

We offer short days and long days.

How will my child settle in?

We offer 3 transition visits for up to 2 hours a visit to settle your child before their start date.

How far in advance should I enrol my child?

Our spaces get filled very fast, we encourage you to enrol your child as soon as possible.
